My Hands Are Of Your Colour’ is the first up in the Fiber of Infinite Jest collection, inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The Scottish Play… no doubt written to delight and entertain James I of England (who happened to be James VI of Scotland before also ascending the English throne)… James was generally pretty unnerved by assassination attempts, and wrote a whole book about black magic, demons, and witches. Fate or free will, appearances versus reality; Lady Macbeth says “My hands are of your colour, but I shame to wear a heart so white”. Whites, bold dark blood reds and blacks, and a smattering of forest green prophecy, “Till Birnam wood remove to Dunsinane, I cannot taint with fear.” *No yarn was harmed in the making of this collection.
